ARVIND GHILDIYAL

Shri Arvind Ghildiyal, Commandant is a native of Village Tandiyun, Distt – Pauri, Uttarakhand and presently settled in Dehradun, Uttrakhand. After completing Graduation from Dehradun, Shri Arvind Ghildiyal, joined BSF on 02 nd July 1993 as Assistant Commandant. Officer has mostly served in remote and inaccessible borders of J&K and NE region and has faced many encounters with Militants/terrorists and Anti-National Elements (ANEs) earning numerous decorations and commendations. Shri Arvind Ghildiyal has also led first police contingent of BSF deployed for Peace Keeping Operations in DR Congo (MONUC) in the year 2005. Officer has also represented United Nations Mission in DR Congo (MONUC) at first FPU Seminar in March 2006 held at Vincenza, Italy. The Officer completed graduation in Human Rights from IIHR, Delhi in the year 2009 while in service. The Officer is a voracious reader, contributes articles on Security related issues to Newspapers, Magazines, Journals and Defence Publications and passionate about sports . This book is maiden work of author. Presently, Shri Arvind Ghildiyal, Commandant is deployed in Jaisalmer (South) Sector on Indo-Pak Border in Rajasthan in Thar Desert area. - ARVIND GHILDIYAL Commandant
